White Hart Lane Crossing

Following campaigning after several years by local residents, a new footbridge has been constructed over the railway lines at the site of the White Hart Lane automated crossing. Richmond Council in partnership with Network Rail delivered a joint funded bridge structure to provide segregation between pedestrian, bicycle users and road vehicles. The new structure provides a safe route for pedestrians crossing the railway lines, without the necessity for the automated level crossing to be in operation. This significantly improves safety for pedestrians and cyclists on the busy White Hart Lane / railway line crossing junction.

As part of the new bridge structure, Chromatica supplied and installed a new handrail system. Included within the handrail system are LED luminaires, to illuminate the bridge and approaches during the hours of darkness. Across the main bridge span luminaires are mounted within a SHS just below the top chord of the span parapet.

Equipment:

• 51 x RL648.ASY.WH.MD Chromatica LED handrail luminaires
• 1 x CHR.PSU.442 Chromatica power supply unit
