Penmaenmawr Station

Penmaenmawr railway station serves the small town of Penmaenmawr, Wales, and is located on the Crewe to Holyhead North Wales Coast Line.

Opened in 1849 as a passenger station with freight sidings, the original west bound grade II listed station buildings still exist. In keeping with the historic listings; the original bridge structure has been fully refurbished. As part of the renewal works, Chromatica manufactured and installed a 48.3mm dia handrail system c\w LED luminaires to illuminate the two staircases and bridge span.

A central battery system is used to provide emergency lighting. Approximately half of the bridge luminaires will operate at full light output for a period of upto 3 hours in the event of a mains failure.
