Chandlers Ford Crossing Footbridge
Close to Chandlers Ford station, on the Romsey line side, is a pedestrian foot crossing which forms part of a public footpath to provide access across the railway lines. The pedestrian foot crossing is considered a high-risk and as part of a nationwide Network Rail improvement scheme, a new bridge has been constructed over the railway lines. The new bridge provides safe pedestrian access between the housing estates of Sutherland Way and Shannon Way.
To illuminate the bridge staircases and main span, Chromatica RL648 LED handrail luminaries are utilised in one side of the dual height handrail system on both staircases, and across one single side of the main span, located in a SHS positioned just below the main span top chord.
