In conjunction with a London based lighting specialist and creative lighting provider, Chromatica manufactured a bespoke Linear LED Lighting system for the Sky News TV studios located in London.

Remote DMX 512 drivers are used to control 2500 LED’s and provide a dynamic lighting solution, which allows set designers to select different colour profiles of their choice, and enable a “fresh” look for different days or news events.

In excess of 60.0M of acrylic block are edge illuminated to provide colour-changing blades of light. Camera tests and trials enabled the design of an optic system to provide acceptable and uniform illumination of the acrylic blades.
