The Avenue Clinic in Nuneaton, south of Coventry, provides Mental Health Services to adults. As part of an extensive refurbishment program, local artist Alisha Miller was commissioned to design and produce bespoke art works for use in the corridor areas of this secure facility.

Working with Alisha, Chromatica manufactured and installed purpose built LED light boxes designed to back light the unique artworks using cool white high flux LED's to enhance the blues and greens of the art images.
Due to the unique requirements of the patients, luminaires were recessed into the corridor walls to ensure minimal obtrusion along the passageways and reduce risk of patient injury. Luminaire front panels laminate the artwork between two panes of polycarbonate, allowing artwork to be changed at a later date, whilst also providing a
high level of vandal resistance.
Chromatica manufactured a remote driver cabinet to enable a “low voltage” installation and ensure luminaires were SELV compliant. Drivers utilise a 1 to 10V DC dimming system to allow light boxes to be dimmed down during evenings and night times and hence not disturb patients sleeping.
